This notice describes our policy and approach to protecting your privacy in a manner consistent with providing you with the financial products and services that you need.

Information We Collect About You.

We have learned that the more we know about you, the better we can understand your financial needs and in turn provide you with appropriate products and superior service. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on account and loan applications and other forms;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliate, or others;
  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies; and
  • Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms. This may be obtained from your current or past employers or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.

Information Sharing With Our Affiliate.

We share information about you with our affiliate, FS Service Corporation which provides us with data processing, insurance, and collection services. We maintain management control over FS Service Corporation, thus ensuring the same privacy standards. We may share the following information with our affiliate:

  • Your name, address, telephone number, social security number, assets, income and employer;
  • Your account information, including the type of accounts, account numbers, account balances, and transactions; and
  • Transaction information, such as, deposits, withdrawals, ATM activity, payment history, and credit card usage.

Information Sharing with Non-Affiliated Third Parties.

Our commitment to provide you with competitive products and services to meet your financial needs necessitates that we share information about you to complete your transactions and to provide you with certain financial opportunities. In order to do so, we have entered into agreements with other companies that provide either services to us or additional financial products for you to consider. Under these arrangements, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. To protect your privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell to other third parties the information we provide to them.

We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct our operations, follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of our financial records.

Even though we may offer services and financial products of our affiliate or third parties, we control the information used to make such offers. If you terminate your account(s) with us we will not share or disclose information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.

How We Protect Your Information.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who have a specific business reason for knowing such information. Our employees are aware of their responsibility in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and your privacy. All of our employees are trained at orientation and through on-going education programs in the protections of your private financial information. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard your nonpublic personal information.
